Someone should give this women some money

It is unbelievable that verifiable douchebags like Douthat get paid money for staining the New York Times given their histories of stories too sad for even Penthouse Forum*, yet Digby has to be confined to the same media I stain four or five times every early early morning.

Especially with pithy summations like this:

Let's not try to actually fix our problems. Let's stage a full blown hysterical meltdown for no good reason instead.

* "Dear Penthouse, I never thought this would happen to me, but I was a freshman at a small midwestern university who didn't want to get laid"  -- and other INCREDIBLY believable stories of a "'yeah, right' based nature"
